Pedestal by Currey and Company from the Terra collection in Bronze/Brass finish The Terra Pedestal convinces the eye that it is made entirely from natural wood, but in fact its surface is metal that has been wrapped over a hand-carved wood substrate and pushed into place to amplify a natural grain pattern. Once the dynamic ornamentation has been fully achieved, the top columnar portion is bronzed while the inset base is made of brass that has been lightly texturized.
